1. Existing fetal homicide laws make a man guilty of manslaughter if he kills the baby in a mother's womb (except in the case of abortion).

2. Fetal surgery is performed on babies in the womb to save them while another child the same age is being legally destroyed.

3. Babies can sometimes survive on their own at 23 or 24 weeks, but abortion is legal beyond this limit.

4. Living on its own is not the criterion of human personhood, as we know from the use of respirators and dialysis.

5. Size is irrelevant to human personhood, as we know from the difference between a one-week-old and a six-year-old.

6. Developed reasoning powers are not the criterion of personhood, as we know from the capacities of three-month-old babies.

7. Infants in the womb are human beings scientifically by virtue of their genetic make up.

8. Ultrasound has given a stunning window on the womb that shows the unborn at eight weeks sucking his thumb, recoiling from pricking, responding to sound. All the organs are present, the brain is functioning, the heart is pumping, the liver is making blood cells, the kidneys are cleaning fluids, and there is a fingerprint. Virtually all abortions happen later than this date.

9. Justice dictates that when two legitimate rights conflict, the limitation of rights that does the least harm is the most just. Bearing a child for adoption does less harm than killing him.

10. Justice dictates that when either of two people must be inconvenienced or hurt to alleviate their united predicament, the one who bore the greater responsibility for the predicament should bear more of the inconvenience or hurt to alleviate it.

11. Justice dictates that a person may not coerce harm on another person by threatening voluntary harm on themselves.

12. The outcast and the disadvantaged and exploited are to be cared for in a special way, especially those with no voice of their own.

13. What is happening in the womb is the unique person-nurturing work of God, who alone has the right to give and take life.

14. There are countless clinics that offer life and hope to both mother and child (and father and parents), with care of every kind lovingly provided by people who will meet every need they can.

15.Jesus Christ can forgive all sins, and will give all who trusts him the help they need to do everything that life requires.

That was what I heard this morning…

This morning service was full of the Holy Spirit...and I was listening.

I know the importance of reading His Word, but I am not reading it enough. Reading the Book of Proverbs is not enough…yes it speaks about wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, but those things come from the entire Bible and not just one book.

Why have I allowed God’s Word to be stale?

…not having enough time… BOOGUS!!!...there is plenty of time…

To You Lord…

Without Your Word in my heart and mind, I am unable to react correctly to the Devil’s schemes… I know the Devil will try his hardest to mess me up… and yes, recently, he has succeeded…

Jesus, I know You are aware of what is going on and I know You are waiting for me to stop and look at YOU… I know it hurts you to see me be this way and not turning totally to You…

I may have assignments to work on, but I am thankful I can stay home to work on them...

sleeping in... ahhhhhh....

new responsibility,fast pace... but I know I can handle it with the Lord assitance, right beside me... "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!!!

Who is in control? Is He in control or are you in control? Let go and let God take control, He does a better job...
too often we take control we take control thinking we can do a better job... when troubles, trials, situations come our way we try to take control and fix them WITHOUT asking God... yes, that has been my road in the last few months... I plan on posting a note at my desk to remind me WHO is in control.. may you do the same if you, too, are struggling with allowing HIM to take control...

Why does a person you live with say "leave me alone" or "your yelling at me?"
My husband likes to do this often, yet he is not angry when he says it... it's like a reflex or defense mechanism--I think....

There is an elderly lady in the community who, once she gets your phone number or know what house you live in, continually "badgers" you about "what needs to be done in the community." She exhibits the "what about me" attitude and everyone must to listen.

Our association board is all volunteer and work full time jobs, thus they do not have the truly needed time to address all the legitimate needs of the community.

The elderly lady has legitimate concerns but she expects things to be done now--which can not feasible happen.

I know she desires to talk with me, but at this time I am not willing to give my phone number or address to her... she tried to follow me to see where I lived, to the point of turning her car around to see... my walking away waving my hand that I can't talk right now wasn't good enough... to be honest I got upset with her... I really didn't have time...

I want to do this right

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"

Hands started going up.

"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. For the Dog and Cat Lovers

To be posted VERY LOW on the refrigerator door, at pet nose height.

Dear Dogs and Cats:
The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king-sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.

For the last time, there is no secret exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years --canine or feline attendance is not required.

The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough!

To pacify you, my dear pets, I have posted the following message on our front door:

To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & Like to Complain About Our Pets:
1. They live here. You don't.
2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. That's why they call it 'fur'niture.
3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
4. To you, they are an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.

Remember: Dogs and cats are better than kids because they:

1. Eat less
2. Don't ask for money all the time
3 Are easier to train
4. Normally come when called
5. Never ask to drive the car
6. Don't hang out with drug-using friends
7. Don't smoke or drink
8. Don't have to buy the latest fashions
9. Don't want to wear your clothes
10. Don't need a gazillion dollars for college, and...
11. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children.

Ice and Mixing Bowl Do NOT Mix

We had some INTERESTING weather on Tuesday... sleet started around 2pm and by 4pm a MAJOR connector was SHUT DOWN... totally... Springfield Mixing Bowl... official name is Springfield interchange... the flyovers became skating rinks and the salt trucks could not get UP them to spread the deice.. the poor souls who use those flyovers on a daily bases where inflicted with an EXTENDED commute home--up to seven hours... May God reimburse them for the time lost in that commute...

Keep Me From Lying

While completing an assignment for my Communications Studies I ran into averse that jumped out at me..

Psalm 119:29 Keep me from lying to myself; give me the privilege of knowing your instructions.

How often do we talk to ourself? Trying to convince ourself that what ever we are thinking, doing or saying is right. In some cases we are TRYING to convince ourself that a certain action and/or attitude is justified; these are the times we are lying to ourself and we are lying to God. Knowing His instruction is the means to keep us from lying to ourself.

The next time you realize you are in this deli ma, stop and seek God. Ask your self if this is what God wants you do....
